Roots, Rock, Americana
Frank Migliorelli and The Dirt Nappers are a roots-rock-Americana band that has been hailed as “undoubtedly talented musicians who write classic, timeless songs flavored with pop, rock and roots that you’ll want to listen on repeat” (Byron William, Indie-Spoonful). Their third release,“The Things You Left Behind,” garnered airplay across Americana radio stations and shows both nationally and internationally, and Frank earned an honorable mention in American Songwriter Magazine’s songwriting competition in 2017 for his song “When The Circus Ends.”
The Dirt Nappers kept busy during the pandemic shutdown. Putting the challenge of live gigs aside, the band put out a call to friends to create a children’s album based on a number of popular children’s books, featuring Soozie Tyrell and Charlie Giordano of Bruce Springsteen’s band, Porter Carroll Jr. of Atlantic Starr Hall and Oates, Tania Elizabeth of the Avett Brothers, Banshie of Blue and Dirt Napper Regular Sherryl Marshall and NYC twangler Johnny Jake. “We’re Not Kiddin’ Around” is a parent-friendly kids’ record that rocks. The album was named a top ten release by The Ark of Music music blog in 2021.
The Dirt Nappers bring it to the stage every show, with a collection of talent that have played with Gavin DeGraw, Southside Johnny, Steve Forbert, Joan Osborne, and more. With a strong catalog of original music, they pepper their shows with a number of choice cover tunes to create the perfect mix of 60’s AM radio, and a Saturday night in the garage with a few good friends and few guitars.
Frank has written and published a library of music for advertising agencies, children’s publishers, and video game projects. He’s been a finalist in top songwriting competitions. As a producer, Franks has recorded great artists including the award-winning duo “Satan and Adam” (now featured in an award winning documentary, “Love Scars”), The Uptown Horns, and others. He has written and produced music for a 20th Century Fox “X-Files” video game, numerous children’s video games for Scholastic and Sunburst, and even wrote a soundtrack for a “Chippendales” video! “When you’ve done everything from writing music for little kids, ad agencies and half-naked guys in bowties,” says Migliorelli, “you want to step back and try something different.” When The Dirt Nappers take the stage, you are in for a night of the best of Americana folk, rock n’ roll and soul around.
