Mark Phillips is an Egremont, MA-based jazz guitarist performing classic and swing era-jazz with an acoustic-forward sound. His repertoire draws from the Great American Songbook and the music of Django Reinhardt. He loves to play solo jazz guitar, duo ensembles, and with a full band whenever possible on both electric and fully acoustic archtop guitars. Every fourth Sunday at RJBC is “Jazz Night with Mark Phillips and Friends.” Jazz Nights feature a different soloist each month supported by Mark on rhythm and lead guitar and Pete Toigo on upright bass. January’s Jazz Night features Luke Franco on guitar.
